Xiaomi announced new sub-brand in India Poco, & launched Poco F1

#Xiaomi has finally launched the brand new #PocoF1 smartphone in India with a new sub-brand named #Pocophone

The phone will go on sale starting 29 August exclusively on Flipkart and Mi.com at 12 pm.

The phone has been priced at Rs 20,999 for the 6/64 GB variant, Rs 23,999 for the 6/128 GB variant, Rs 29,999 for the Kevlar-backed armoured edition in 8/256 GB and an 8/256 GB standard edition at Rs 28,999. The smartphone will be available in three color variants – Rosso Red, Steel Blue and Graphite Black.

The Poco F1 features “LiquidCool Technology”, a thermal solution that features a copper heat pipe inside the phone to help dissipate heat quicker and better. With this technology, Xiaomi claims better performance in it’s peak performance even during long usage.

The phone features a 5.99-inch full HD+ display with a 1080 x 2248 pixels resolution. The screen has a 19:9 aspect ratio, means it has that trendy notch design. The notch houses Front facing camera, sensors & an infra-red sensor which can unlock the phone with your face even in pitch dark condition.

On the inside, the phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC paired with an Adreno 630 GPU.

The rear dual camera comprised of 12+5 MP. The primary 12MP sensor comes with dual-pixel autofocus. The front-facing camera is a 20 MP camera with a f/2.0 aperture. Both the front as well as the rear cameras support AI technology.

Connectivity options include Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, and there is a USB Type C port. A fingerprint sensor is mounted on the rear. The device will run a customised version of MIUI 10 with a ‘Poco Launcher’ based on Android Oreo 8.1, with a promised upgrade to Android P later this year. Poco Launcher includes an app drawer and app grouping options. It’s also the first phone of India which is capable of 4G+ network support.

It is powered by a 4,000 mAh battery paired with support for Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0. And it is the first time that Xiaomi is including A 9v~2A fast charger inside the box.
