Nokia’s iconic “Banana Phone” 8110 4G starts selling in India

#Nokia finally started the sale of #Nokia8110 4G device for Rs 5,999 in India.

The 4G feature Nokia 8110 phone is available on Amazon.in & retail shops in India also, on the company’s own website.

The phone has intuitive tactile mechanics with slide to answer and end calls, as well as a helicopter-style spin on its axis. It supports VoLTE calling.

Inside, there’s a Qualcomm 205 SoC.

It comes with 4G connectivity as well as apps including Google Assistant, Google Maps, Google Search, Facebook, and Twitter. The phone also comes with a revamped version of the iconic Snake game and is available in traditional Black and Banana Yellow colours.

In addition, Jio subscribers on Nokia 8110 will get up to 544GB of Jio 4 GB data free.

Xiaomi Mi A2 6GB RAM variant comes to India

#Xiaomi’s Android One-powered #MiA2 launched in India some months back but with 4/64 GB variant. Now the company has announced that the 6GB of RAM and 128GB storage variant is coming too.

As you can see from the screenshot above, Xiaomi already listed the smartphone on the official mi.com/in site with the price tag of INR 17,999.  But the date of availability is not confirmed yet.

No #Xiaomi phones in this list, but there’s particularly two devices that will get the update for sure i.e. #MiA1 & #MiA2. Other than this, The flagship Mix series, #PocoF1 etc devices will also get this update.

Also the #Asus #ZenfoneMaxProM1 & #Zenfone5Z devices will be upgraded to the version of android.

 

The Android 9.0 Pie comes with several new features including gesture navigation, smart text selection, redesigned quick settings, simplified volume controls and adaptive battery mode.

Samsung launched flagship 2-in-1 Tab S4 in India

#Samsung launched it’s next gen flagship Tablet #TabS4 in India. This 2-in-1 tablet equipped with Dex and S Pen.

Galaxy Tab S4 houses a 10.5-inch Super AMOLED display in 16:10 screen ratio and narrow bezels with 1600 x 2560 pixels.

Under the hood, there is an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC, coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The storage is expandable via microSD card up to 400GB.

The Tab S4 runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with Samsung Experience UX on top.

The tablet has a 13-megapixel autofocus camera at the back with LED flash and an 8-megapixel camera the front. Both cameras have an f/1.9 aperture lens.

The tablet has 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11ac along with Wi-Fi Direct, MIMO, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C, and a POGO connector. Sensors include an accelerometer, compass, gyroscope, hall sensor, iris scanner, proximity sensor, and an RGB sensor.

The tablet has four onboard speakers that are tuned by AKG and use Dolby Atmos technology.

Asus launched 2 new budget Zenfones in India

Asus has launched two new smartphones in India named #ZenfoneLiteL1 and #ZenfoneMaxM1.

The Zenfone Lite L1 comes with a 5.45-inch HD+ IP5 display.

The phone runs on the Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 430 chipset coupled with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage. The phone also has a 3,000 mAh battery.

On the back there’s a 13 MP camera with a f/2.0 aperture & on the front there’s a 5 MP camera. As there’s no fingerprint sensor, the front camera also works to unlock the screen with the face unlocking feature.

In terms of the software, the phone runs on ZenUI based on Android Oreo 8.0.

The official pricing of the phone is Rs 6,999 but the introductory offer will be Rs 5,999.

The Zenfone Max M1 phone has a 5.45-inch 720p IPS LCD display with 18:9 aspect ratio.

It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC clocked at 1.4 GHz coupled with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage.

Huawei launched Honor 8X in India

Lenovo is back with K9 & A5

After a long time since launching a new phone, #Lenovo finally launched two smartphones in India named #K9 & #A5

The Lenovo K9 has a 5.7-inch IPS LCD 720p display with 18:9 aspect ratio.

It comes with a MediaTek MT 6762 octa-core processor clocked at 2 GHz and a glass body design.

In the camera department, the smartphone features a 13 + 5 MP camera set up on the back as well as on the front.

The battery capacity is of 3,000 mAh. The phone will be available on sale exclusively on Flipkart from INR 8999. The K9 will be sold in the blue and black.

Google Event 2018: Pixel 3, Pixel 3 XL, Pixel Stand. Here’s everything you wanna know

#Google at an event yesterday at New York, announced it’s two latest flagship devices named #Pixel3 & #Pixel3XL

The Pixel 3 has a 5.5-inch AMOLED screen & The Pixel 3 XL has a 6.3-inch P-OLED display (with a big ugly notch, which luckily you can disable) with 19:9 aspect ratio and 1080 x 2280 pixels.. Both the phones come with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection and are equipped with an ‘Always-on display.’

The smartphones will come with an Aluminium unibody design and glass back with IP 67 rating for water and dust resistance.

Both the devices are powered by Qualcomm’s top-end Snapdragon 845 processor. There’s two storage variants for both the devices i.e, 4/64 GB & 4/128 GB. As usual there is no added slot for expandable storage & also this is disappointing to see there’s no 6 or 8GB RAM variant like all the other vendors are providing now-a-days.

Both the Pixels are packed with a SINGLE 12.2 MP wide camera unit at the back with a f/1.8 aperture which can record videos at 2160p at 30 and 60 fps; 1080p at 30, 60 and 240 fps and 720p at 480 fps.

The front camera however features a dual camera setup. First is an 8 MP wide camera with f/2.3 aperture and second 8 MP sensor for depth effects. Front cameras are also capable of shooting 1080p@60fps videos.

Like the #Pixel2 series the new Pixel devices do not have a physical 3.5-mm headphone jack. However, you do get a 3.5-mm headphone jack to Type-C adapter that ships with the devices (Unlike iPhone XS series).

Both the phones support Dual-Band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth version 5.0 with LE, NFC, GPS, and USB 3.1 Type-C port with a reversible connector for connectivity. There’s a fingerprint sensor on the back as well.

The device will be running on the latest Android 9.0 Pie & is fuelled by 3430mAh battery with Fast & Wireless Charging support.

The Pixel 3 will come in three colours – Clearly White, Just Black, and Not Pink.

The Pixel 3 price starts from Rs 71,000 and the Pixel 3 XL will be starting from Rs 83,000. The phones will be available for pre-order starting from 11 October onwards on Flipkart, Airtel’s online store, and at offline partners including Reliance Digital, Croma and other leading stores across India. The sales will begin from 1 November.

 

 

Google at this event launched a new wireless stand named #PixelStand. It is a vertical wireless charger for the Pixel smartphones with a USB-C port, fast-charge capabilities and can support aby Qi-compatible device. Also The Pixel Stand will automatically adjust the Pixel’s UI when it is docked at night by putting the device into Do Not Disturb mode. It will turn your Pixel smartphone into basically a smart speaker-type setup where you can ask Google things like providing weather, traffic, and calendar info and lots more.

After launching the most awaited phone #Realme2Pro, Realme launched another budget friendly device the #RealmeC1.

#Realme finally unveiled it’s #Realme2Pro in India.

The smartphone comes with a 6.3” 1080p screen and a Dewdrop notch.

Inside, there’s a powerful Snapdragon 660 SoC with 4/64 GB, 6/64 GB, and 8/128 GB variants. The smartphone runs ColorOS 5.2, based on Android 8.1 Oreo. The phone has 3,500 mAh battery capacity.

Samsung launched It’s First Triple Camera phone in India

#Samsung finally launched it’s first Triple Camera phone on the back,  #GalaxyA7 at Rs 23,990 onwards in India.

Samsung Galaxy A7 sports a 6-inch FHD+ AMOLED display.

The triple camera setup has a 24 MP AF low-light camera with f/1.7 aperture, the second is an ultra-wide 8 MP ultra-wide lens with f/2.4 aperture and the third is a 5 MP depth sensor with a f/2.0 aperture for bokeh mode.
